• I am a Principal health care scientist within Clinical Physics at the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow. 


  • I am responsible for intensive care monitoring patient services and support for both the optimal use of existing monitoring as well as lead the development, implementation and assessment of new monitoring for use in neurointensive care.


  • I have 30 years experience working within the field of intensive care management of patients with traumatic brain injury. 


  • I am co-founder and coordinator of the BrainIT Group, a multi-centre collaborative network for research into the development of new monitoring and management technology for tracking and improving patient care (www.brainit.org).
